Receiving/Inspection

Avchem performs a receiving inspection of all incoming materials that includes conformity to purchase order and shipping paperwork, label review, shelf-life analysis and package and container integrity is checked. Additional inspection for production and other designated materials specified by the customer includes reviews of Certificate of Conformance and Certificate of Analysis data that are required per customer specification and special instruction. Pertinent data on the material is located on-screen and the test data checked against it. The inspection is logged in the QA database for electronic record-keeping purposes and easy customer access.

The heart of the system is the web-based MARS database which stores specification test requirements and provides a record of Purchaser-required testing. Additionally, the MARS form incorporates the test laboratory data and sample training information (Chain of Custody).

Upon passing quality inspection, material is labeled with a barcode label. This label provides information such as customer product number, batch/lot number, special storage requirements and date of expiration. Consistent labeling confirms material is approved for use and provides traceability required for audit compliance.
