Warehousing
Avchem's strategically located warehouses can accommodate the needs of any customer in the United States, as well as overseas. All of our warehouses undergo rigorous inspections by local and federal inspectors to ensure the highest level of safety and standardized procedures for handling and storing hazardous material. Avchem facilities have had ZERO citations for any violations.
Avchem establishes min/max warehouse levels based on consumption history, lead times, and known factors affecting material supply. Stock rotations at our warehouses are based on a First In, First Out (FIFO) practice. This system is executed based on the premise that the oldest material is shipped first. Spoilage due to shelf-life expiration is costly and Avchem utilizes the FIFO practice within our warehouses and among our other aerospace and electronics customers to minimize spoilage.
Avchem will maintain accurate inventories through regular cycle counting and management oversight. The warehouse will serve as the staging area for preparing shipments to customer docks. Shipments will be delivered to the appropriate docks in segregated containers for ease of placement by Avchem at the POU locations.
