Waste Management
Observing waste generated from the production floor is a key part of the value-added procurement process. Avchem uses the information gathered in the waste management process to reverse engineer the procurement process to consider packaging changes, right-sizing, alternative products and other alterations that could drastically reduce waste. Avchem manages and inspects satellite accumulation and 90 day storage locations in accordance with customer expectations and requirements. Avchem can consolidate waste streams, arrange for hazardous waste pick up, and perform housekeeping functions, such as cleaning, disposal, and recycling of empty chemical containers, while complying with all local, state, and federal regulations. We do not view waste management as a service separate from a CMS program, but as an integral part of lifecycle management and total cost of ownership of chemicals.
